You will enjoy Swiss cuisine, specialties from the border triangle as well as exquisite wines from the region and from Ticino.

This is ensured by a young team of motivated gastro professionals who are there for you every day with fire and flame. Friendly, courteous and always anxious that you want for nothing. Quite simply because we see ourselves first and foremost as hosts who will read your every wish from your eyes.

Johannes Kohlmann

Spirited, visionary and inventive: Johannes Kohlmann, descendant of an old charcoal-burner family, was animated by inner fire throughout his life. The South German moved to Basel at an early age, where he registered pioneering patents as a chemist. Despite his success, he remained a simple man who loved traditional things and appreciated good food. That’s probably why he sat at the radio for nights on end, meticulously recording what he was looking for:

FOOD & DRINK

Enjoy regional, seasonal and freshly prepared dishes. At noon we serve our weekly changing lunch menus, in the afternoon we recommend our homemade cakes and in the evening our à la carte menu impresses with varied dishes. Matching you will find fine wines from our wine cellar.
